The Network

Opportunities

InfraNEDs connects its fellow NEDs with board opportunities in Real Assets – helping the community NEDs expand their networks and contacts. Through our access, and deep relationships including with board recruiters that cover the Real Asset sectors, we frequently receive requests for board director candidates and help refer InfraNEDs to these board opportunities.  InfraNEDs supports and encourages the community NEDs to ensure they meet the key criteria before applying.

Mentoring

We welcome InfraNEDs who are prepared to act as mentors (or indeed) reverse-mentors on a voluntary and suitable case-by-case basis.

InfraNEDs mentoring:
Mentoring opportunities for the InfraNEDs community include:

- Initial program: peer support to aspiring NEDs and those early in their NED career (in Real Assets);
- Supporting experienced portfolio NEDs in applying for further NED and Chair roles;

- Providing mutually beneficial peer mentoring partnerships; building new skills via mentoring;

- Supporting individual NEDs and as Board challenges may arise.

Considerate & Supportive

InfraNEDs is an independent, respectful, and impartial network. We intend that InfraNEDs are not a paid membership fee organisation. Depending on the desired individual level of involvement, we ask that the community NEDs contribute to cover the respective costs of in-person events, proactively and positively contribute to the group with insights into the industry developments, professional experiences, participate in online and/or in-person roundtables as panelists or chairs, contribute to industry advocacy initiatives, share opportunities within the network, support the organization's events, and/or act as mentors to InfraNEDS.

The value of the InfraNEDs network is grounded in the mutual support and commitment of our
community NEDs, their proactive engagement, and their contribution to the network’s long-term sustainability and growth are essential.

Donations are welcome to contribute to the ongoing community running expenses.

“…You get used to being one of the few women on the building site or in the boardroom, so what a delightful surprise to find so many talented women leaders! With various skills and experience in sectors from property to infrastructure to digitalization. A personal benefit is learning from other women in our industries, which involves big money and big impacts. But we’re also using our expertise by speaking up to influence policy and business practices, benefiting our organisations and society..”
